Ken Reimer   Ken Reimer
Director
Centre for Enhanced Teaching and Learning, UNB
Fredericton, New Brunswick

Mr. Reimer founded LearnStream in 1998 through a leverage management buyout, and was the firm’s President and CEO for seven years. He grew this leading e-learning courseware design firm to a $5 million 150 employee industry leader, with operating offices in Fredericton, Washington DC, and Ottawa.

After getting beat up during the high-tech bubble, the company refocused to new markets, away from its traditional high-tech clients, and rebuilt back to profitability. In 2005, Reimer sold LearnStream to become part of the Vitesse Learning group, based in Toronto.

His previous experience includes executive roles at the high tech leader FirstClass Systems of Vancouver, and working as an instructor at SAIT, Mount Royal College and the University of Calgary.

His business achievements were recognized when Ken was honoured as one of three Canadians to receive the AV Video & Multimedia Top 100 Producers award in San Francisco, and when he received the Canadian New Media Lifetime Achievement Award in Toronto.

Ken Reimer is now the director of the Centre for Enhanced Teaching and Learning at the University of New Brunswick where he leads a team focused on innovation and excellence in the classroom and online learning environment.

Mr. Reimer makes his home in Fredericton with his wife Carol and their three children.
