Evidence Partners Inc.
Toronto, Ontario

Jonathan Barker has spent the last 21 years involved in the application of innovative information technologies to interesting information challenges.

Starting as a litigation lawyer in the 1980’s applying information technology to multi-million record lawsuits, he became partner responsible for technology at a leading Canadian litigation firm in Toronto. He left full time legal practice in 1997 and wrote “The Effective Use of Technology in the Practice of Law”, published by Canada Law Book in 1998. He then joined the Price Waterhouse consultancy in their information technology strategy group, and became involved in the application of information technology to health care and clinical research in that role.

He founded Trialstat Corporation in 2001, a company providing a regulatory compliant data management IT platform for clinical research databases and systematic reviews. As CEO of Trialstat, he raised over $15M in angel and venture financing. He is currently President and co-founder of another software as a service company called Evidence Partners Incorporated, servicing a growing area of life sciences research known as outcomes research, systematic reviews and health technology assessment.
