Ed Barrett is Co-CEO of Barrett Corporation, a privately held family corporation, based in Woodstock, New Brunswick. Founded in 1976, today the company invests and operates businesses in Canada, United States, Europe and Africa in consumer electronics, communications and broadband internet services, recreation products, outdoor power products, construction equipment, automotives services and property development.

In addition to the Barrett Corporation Board, Ed currently serves on the Boards of Atlantic Industries, Wajax Income Fund and on New Brunswick Power Corporation. Ed is a member of the New Brunswick Business Council and is Chair of the Board for Atlantic Baptist University. Past board affiliations have included Theatre New Brunswick, River Valley Health Corporation, Greater Fredericton Airport Authority, and Carleton Memorial Hospital Foundation Board.

Ed received his high school diploma from Hartland High School and subsequent degrees from Acadia (Bachelor of Arts 1975) and Dalhousie University (Master of Public Administration 1977). He is married and has two daughters. He is a long time resident of Carleton County and currently resides in Woodstock.
