  Daryl K. Branscombe
Author, 'Walking with a Limp' Fredericton, New Brunswick

Daryl Branscombe has worked in the business community in the City of Fredericton and other parts of the Province of New Brunswick for the past 30 years. A former high school teacher, he left the teaching profession in the mid-seventies to pursue a business career. He has had an interesting and diversified career from co-owning a building supply store and general contracting business to working in all aspects of Commercial Real Estate including operations, leasing, financing, brokerage and development. He joined Greenarm Corporation Ltd in 1985 as Commercial Leasing Manager and later established a brokerage division, Greenarm Commercial Realty Inc. which he operates today. In 1997 he launched his own development under a holding company known as Dad's Enterprise (NB) Ltd. Over a span of the last several years he has developed and partnered in multi-million dollar deals and currently has ownership in several commercial projects throughout New Brunswick

Daryl has been actively involved in the community. He served on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement, United Way, Partners for Youth and moderator of the church he attends He was the founding director of Downtown Development Ltd ,an organization that represents the business community in downtown Fredericton. As well he was the first President of the Business New Brunswick Association (BNA) a Provincial Organization that represents the interest of businesses located in the Central Business District throughout New Brunswick. He was Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee that lobbied the City, Province and the University of New Brunswick to establish the Fredericton Knowledge Park, which fosters knowledge based industries in the City.

Recently Daryl published a book entitled “Walking With a Limp” which is an autobiography and is dedicated to the memory of his sons who passed away from an autoimmune disease. Currently he does public speaking in Churches and Service clubs delivering a message of “Triumph over Tragedies.

He is married to Angela Maddox. They reside in Fredericton, N.B.
