Become a Mentor                                                      Need a Mentor?

Are you a leader in a particular area of business and would like to give back to your community? WMI has as its mission to contribute to a self-sufficient NB, in part by assisting entrepreneurs in growing their respective companies through mentorship programs and curriculum.

To maximize the mentor-entrepreneur relationship or sessions, WMI acts as a 'concierge' service, aligning entrepreneurs with mentors based on needs assessments and initial interview. By donating a set amount of hours per annum to the mentor bank, we manage your volunteerism as well as your experience. Our mentors are provided the opportunity to give back in a more controlled setting and the entrepreneurs gain access to years of experience; a highly valued exchange for both parties.

“Interacting with such a dynamic and innovative group of entrepreneurs was truly an enjoyable experience. I learned as much as I shared! Highly recommended."                                     Chris Biber, SearchingWorks Inc., WMI speaker

Our most organic program is based on MIT's mentorship model where the mentor-mentee will be matched with the help of one of our facilitators at WMI. Both parties commit to 2 hours per month over a period of 12 months to ensure maximum value to each party. Rules of engagement are listed in our Mentorship Charter.

As a mentor, you will also be invited to WMI's annual leadership dinner in appreciation of your volunteerism over the year.

Help grow a company out of our region!
