Thor is a passionate entrepreneur with an unusually diverse work experience. Thor returned to New Brunswick after several years in Toronto where he worked for Volkswagen Group Canada as the Canadian Director of Retail Operations. As a way to move closer to family, Thor bought and turned around a struggling business in Fredericton which paved the way to work on other opportunities in the region. While maintaining ownership in his business, Thor has developed and managed some of the most significant bioenergy related initiatives in Atlantic Canada and continues to work closely with new and innovative projects.
For the past three years, Thor has been actively developing his consulting business with a specific focus on start up technology companies and projects in biosciences. He has clients throughout the Atlantic Provinces and is active in projects in Ontario and other regions. Thor’s clients include medium sized software companies, early stage technical product developers as well as traditional resource firms looking to diversify into new products.
Thor has served as the Chair of the New Brunswick Biosciences Advisory Board and holds a BA and BEd from the University of Winnipeg as well as an MBA from Saint Mary’s University. He continues to expand his learning experiences by attending Executive Training at MIT Sloan School of Business in programs focused towards innovation and leadership.
Thor’s passion is helping new organizations grow and seeing entrepreneurs realize their vision.
