Francis McGuire   Francis McGuire

Aside from his role at Major Drilling, which he has held since 2000, Mr. McGuire currently serves on the Board of Directors of Major Drilling Group International Inc. as well as on the Board of Directors of Industrial Alliance, Canada’s 4th largest insurance company.  In 2007, Mr. McGuire was appointed as Chairman of the Board of NB Power. He also serves on Growth Works Advisory Board for New Brunswick, a labour sponsored venture capital company.

Mr. McGuire has served as Vice President of Marketing & Business Development of MITI Information Technology Inc. , Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Tourism in New Brunswick under Premier Frank McKenna.

Francis holds a Master’s degree from the School of Advanced International Studies, John Hopkins University, Washington, DC, a Diploma in European Politics from the Institute d’études Politiques, Paris, France and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University.  Mr. McGuire also completed the Management Training Course at the University of Western Ontario’s School of Business Administration and the Marketing Management Course at Queen’s University.
